How to Play Football Pick'em
Playing Members Credit Union's Football Pick'em could not be easier! The concept is simple - each week you predict the winners of each professional football game played that week. You will then assign a "weight" to each game indicating your confidence in each pick. These "weights" go from 1 (least confident) to the number of games played that week (for example, if there are 15 games in a particular week, you would have the ability to weigh games from 1 to 15). The higher the "weight," the more confident you are in that particular selection. Make sure that you only assign each "weight" once.

If you correctly predict a game, you get 1 point multiplied by the "weight" value you assigned. If there is a tie, or you incorrectly predicted a game's outcome, you will receive 0 points for that game. The weekly winner will be the player who amasses the most points in that particular week. In case of a tie, all players should submit a prediction for the Monday Night score (this is located on the Make Picks page). The number you enter is your prediction for the total points scored by both teams. For example: if you think the score will be 27-17, enter 44 (27+17).

Registration
Registration is ABSOLUTELY FREE, and takes only a minute. You will be emailed your password upon submitting your registration, so make sure you enter a valid email address. This year's game has a male versus female compenent to it, so make sure you disclose your sex to be eligible for gender-based prizes.

Once you have registered and logged in, you may want to change your password to something you can remember. To change your password, go to Edit Profile and replace the current password with one of your choosing. Now it's time to make picks!

Making Your Picks
Now it's time to make picks! Click Make Picks on the top of your screen. Each row corresponds to a game that is to be played that week. You can see who the Home Team is, what day and time the game starts, and if you click Compare, you will be able to compare each team's offensive and defensive stats, current record, and other useful information. Fill in the circle next to the team you think will win the matchup by making a left mouse click in that space. Go down the list until all picks have been made. Now assign a "weight" to each pick based on your confidence in that particular pick. Assign the highest "weight" to the pick in which you are most confident. Assign the lowest "weight" to the picks in which you are least confident. At the bottom of the list, there is a box to enter a tie-breaker guess. This should be filled with the total points you think will be scored in the Monday Night game.

Picks must be made by one hour before the start of the week's first game. On top of the Make Picks page, you can see how much time is left to get the current week's picks in.

Prizes
Football Pick'em 2008's grand prize winner will win..(drum roll, please)...a $500 Visa Gift Card or a Carolina "Football Fanatic Prize Package" (2 lower level tickets to the Carolina game of your choice, 1 Night Hotel stay, and a fancy dinner) from Members Credit Union! Monthly winners in their respective gender categories will receive two Football Pick'em tailgate chairs, a t-shirt, and cap. The male and female who end up with the most points in their gender standings on any particular week (and wins the tie-breaker if applicable) will receive a Members Credit Union t-shirt and a Football Pick'em koozie.
